Op minder dan twee uur van het einde was er aan Les Combes contact tussen de #94 Peugeot van Malthe Jakobsen en de BMW van Robin Frijns. De Peugeot liep daarbij schade op, met een opgave tot gevolg. Stoffel Vandoorne kwam dus zelf niet in actie bij zijn thuiswedstrijd.
